Rainier Beach

Rainier Beach is yet another south Seattle neighborhood that is enjoying resurgence in popularity. Its affordable houses and beautiful views are just a few of its draws. The neighborhood is located in the far southeastern corner of the city along Lake Washington. Rainier Beach is an incredibly well connected to mass transit with multiple bus lines and a light rail station.

Diversity is the key word here. According to Zillow, Rainier Beach is home to multi-lingual and/or foreign-born city dwellers. There are lots of families and children, too. Interestingly, the age distribution is quite equal across the board, unlike in many areas of Seattle where people in their 20s and 30s dominate. And although the average income is fairly modest, more people are able to own their homes than having to rent.
